BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN COMPUTER SCIENCE (BSCS)

In 2005, CHED granted the Government Recognition for the BSCS program and in 2007,the Certificate of Authority (CA-013 s. 2007) to operate the Ladderized BSCS under EO 358. The BSCS program prepares students to be IT professionals and researchers and to be proficient in designing and developing computing solutions.


BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (BSIT)

Nov. 2008, CHED granted the initial permit to operate BSIT for A.Y 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 under Government Permit No.: GP-078 S. 2008. BSIT program prepares the students to be IT professionals, well versed on application, installation, operation, development, maintenance and administration, and familiar with the hardware installation, operation and maintenance.


BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN COMPUTER ENGINEERING (BSCoE)

Dec. 2008, CHED granted the permit to operate BSCoE for A.Y. 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 under Government Permit No.:GP-085 S. 2008. The College prepares the students for professional ngineering career who will effectively and efficiently meet the scientific, technological and various needs of business, industries and communities in the global economy.


ASSOCIATE IN COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY (ACT)

The College will have a new course offering of ACT starting June S.Y. 2011-2012. ACT is a two-year degree program leading to a Diploma in “ACT”. The ACT may be considered as a “ladderized” program for BSCS and BSIT.  ACT program aims to:
Equip students with specific skills for entry into the information technology profession; and
Prepare the students for eventual entry into the regular degree programs of the BSCS and BSIT.

In the course of successfully pursuing the ACT, students will:

Have mastery of the fundamentals of computers and information processing.

Use extensively popular word processing, spreadsheet, and database management software.

Learn to write programs using structured and object oriented approach.

Learn to design and deploy web pages.

Students will learn and understand Network Concepts.

Learn how to design and maintain network.

Learn how to design and maintain network.

Acquire skills in PC Hardware and Software Troubleshooting and Maintenance process.


OUR LINKAGES AND AFFILIATIONS

In May 2008, the College of Computer Studies was able to  secure permit as Authorized Testing Center for MS Office Specialist (MOS) and Sun Microsystems Phils. Inc. authorized the college to be a Sun Education Center on 15 Dec. 2008. The College also has an active membership and participation to different ITE Organizations like PSITE, Y4IT Congress and SCITE for career development and be updated in the current trends and issues in IT. The College is also affiliated with respective IT companies for OJT within and outside the region. These companies give and provide the students the needed work experience related to their field in preparation for the challenging world.
